Unable to deactivate.  An error occurred when trying to contact

Problem

You get this error when attempting to deactivate Iron Speed Designer:

Unable to deactivate.  An error occurred when trying to contact the Iron Speed License Server: "The underlying connection was closed: Unable to connect to the remote server.

This error generally occurs when Iron Speed Designer is unable to communicate through your Internet firewall and contact the Iron Speed license server to register your deactivation.

Solution

Contact your system administrator and allow Iron Speed Designer to communicate with its license server via the Internet.
