Managing and Protecting Your Software License
For your convenience, you can install Iron Speed Designer on multiple computers; however, it may be used only on one machine at a time by the licensed user.

Your software activation is the core of your product license, and because you choose how and where to use it, you must protect it. Iron Speed does not issue additional activations, but we make it very easy for you to protect what you have.

Moving Your License to Another Machine
You can move your license from one machine to another by deactivating the license on the first machine and re-activating it on the second machine. Licenses are activated by pasting the product key you received when you purchased Iron Speed Designer into the Activate Iron Speed Designer dialog, accessed from the Help menu.

Help, Deactivate… to deactivate your copy of Iron Speed Designer.

Help, Activate… to activate your copy of Iron Speed Designer.

Note: You must be connected to the Internet to move your license from one machine to another. You cannot deactivate when offline, i.e., when your machine is not connected to the Internet.

Backing Up your Installation and License
Don't let a machine crash slow you down! Please back up your installation folder after installing Iron Speed Designer. For example, if Iron Speed Designer was installed in

C:\Program Files\Iron Speed\Designer v5.2.1

... then back up this folder on your backup device. If your hard disk crashes, you can restore this backup folder to the rebuilt drive and be back running in a jiffy.

Restoring your Installation and License
Your Iron Speed Designer software license is tied to your machine name and the signature of your machine. When the backup folder is restored to the machine with the same name, no further activation is required to run Iron Speed Designer.

If the backup folder is restored to a machine with a different name, the license within the folder is invalidated and Iron Speed Designer will only start in the Free Edition mode. You can enter a newly purchased Professional Edition or Enterprise Edition product key to start Iron Speed Designer on the new machine.
