Pop-up Windows for Long Text and Image Fields Added

Certain image and long string fields will be enabled to display Ajax-based pop-up windows to display long text strings (notes) and images.

Table and Record panels with fields displaying long text strings will be updated to display truncated versions of those strings. Mousing over those fields will display a pop-up window containing the full text contained in the field.
Table and Record panels with fields displaying images will be updated to display reduced-sized thumbnail images. Mousing over those fields will display a pop-up window containing the full image contained in the field.

Migration effects

During migration, a set of pass-through attributes are added to appropriate text and image fields that control the text truncation and image scaling in the web page. Additional pass-through attributes are added to control the display of the pop-up windows.

What you should do

Nothing. Iron Speed Designer updates your application automatically. You can control or disable the pop-up windows on a control-by-control basis by adjusting the pass-through attributes in the Page Properties dialog for individual controls. You can globally disable image pop-up display and text field pop-up display via the Application Generation Options dialog (Tools, Application Generation Options…) in Iron Speed Designer.
