Application pages built using previous versions used one template to create the page. Each page has a Gen:Template tag that refers to the template used to create the page. Pages in an application built using Version 2.1 and later use multiple templates. A page is constructed using a page template and one or more table or record panel templates.
Version 2.1 and later migrate existing pages’ Gen:Template tags to refer to the new template structure. For example, a page s created using the “Show Record – Everest.html” template had a Gen:Template that referred to the template. The migrated page will have a page Gen:Template tag referring to “Master Page.html” and a record Gen:Template referring to “Show Record - Label on Side.html”. In addition, if the page’s HTML was not customized, the page is rebuilt using the new templates.
