Component Template Changes

The header and footer templates in applications created with Iron Speed Designer Version 2.1 or later have a Gen:Template tag that specifies the specific type of template.  In addition, menu templates have an orientation attribute to specify if the menu is vertical or horizontal. Newly created pages include two menu components, one for a horizontal menu called “Menu” and one for a vertical menu called “MenuV”.

Consequences

The migration process adds a Gen:Template tag for the Header and Footer components in the application.  The Menu component’s Gen:Template tag is changed by adding the Orientation attribute to specify if the menu is a vertical or horizontal menu.  In addition, menu component names in pages are migrated to MenuV if the menu component was a vertical menu.
