Parser Error: Could not load file or assembly System.Data.Entity

Problem

You get this error when first running your application:

Parser Error Message: Could not load file or assembly 'System.Data.Entity, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

This error occurs because Iron Speed Designer requires the latest service packs for the Microsoft .NET Framework, specifically Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 or later.

Solution

Download the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 at:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=AB99342F-5D1A-413D-8319-81DA479AB0D7&displaylang=en

You can also select the latest service packs from Windows Update on your computer.

Step 1: Go to your computer’s Control Panel.

Step 2: Select Window Update, and Check for Update.

Step 3: Select the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 update and click Update to install the service pack.
