Error 1722: The installation program will now exit

Problem

You get the following error when installing Iron Speed Designer:

Error 1722: The installation program will now exit. Please go to http://www.ironspeed.com/download/ to get the latest version.

This error can occur when the installation program checks for a more recent version of Iron Speed Designer. This check runs a small program that requires .NET Framework 2.0 or later to run. If .NET Framework 2.0 or later is not installed, the installer interprets this as indicating that a newer version of the installer is available from Iron Speed.

Solution

Install .NET Framework 2.0 or later on your machine.
